With nearly $47.6 million in funding awarded to it by a California agency, an affordable housing project affirming of LGBTQ seniors is closer to breaking ground in San Francisco. It will be the third such development aimed at queer and trans older residents of the city to be built in the upper Market Street corridor.   At its meeting December 10 the California Strategic Growth Council signed off on the award for the 187-unit building to be constructed by Mercy Housing California.
