STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Those who love the idea of a winter wonderland will surely be glad to hear that the five boroughs may receive its first accumulating snowfall of the season this weekend.
According to John Feerick, a senior meteorologist with AccuWeather , cold weather will be in place just in time for a storm to potentially bring some frosty precipitation to the city.
“As far as that goes, seems like right now (Wednesday afternoon), the best chance for some snow across our area would be Saturday night into Sunday morning,” Feerick said. “Certainly the speed of that storm lends itself to not necessarily being a big storm, per se, but it certainly could end up being the first accumulating snow of the season.”
