MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — A driver crashed through the wall of a Monroe County fire station in Bolingbroke , according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff's office says deputies responded to a call about a car that went off the road, crossed the railroad tracks, and hit Monroe County Fire Station 4 around 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

The driver, a 70-year-old woman, has been taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, per the report.

The sheriff’s office says early findings show the crash was an accident, and the woman has not been arrested.

13WMAZ visited the fire station after the wreckage was cleared. Boards were placed over the hole where the car went through the wall.

The sheriff's office says this case is still under investigation.
