New Castle County leadership recognized William G. “Billy” Robinson for achieving 55 years of service working for New Castle County. He began his career on Dec. 7, 1970.

New Castle County has honored a Public Works Mechanic for serving 55 years. William G. "Billy" Robinson, 77, first started his career with the county in 1970 as an automotive mechanic.

On Tuesday, New Castle County recognized Robinson with a proclamation honoring the veteran employee.

Prior to joining the county, Robinson served in the United States Army for 3 years, including 26 months stationed in Germany.
