TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Maricsa Banuelos of Visalia has been arrested for alleged inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old girl.

Banuelos was sworn in as a member of the Tulare County Probation Department in July of 2024, according to a post on the department's Facebook page but is no longer an employee.

The Tulare County Probation Department says Banuelos was terminated in November.

The investigation started back on November 5, when the Sheriff's Office says a parent reported their teen daughter had been involved with an adult.

They say the girl had been texting with Banuelos and the woman communicated intentions to meet for sexual purposes.

Banuelos was booked into the Tulare County Jail on a felony charge but it appears
