BEAUFORT, S.C. —
A Beaufort, South Carolina, man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a runaway teen, according to the Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office.
On Jan. 10, officers with the Port Royal Police Department were called to the Super 8 Motel on Ribaut Road after a person spotted a teenage girl with an unknown man, later identified as Nicholas Antonette Todd.
Officers found the girl in a hotel room with Todd.
Police said the 13-year-old girl had hickeys on her neck, which she later told officers Todd gave her.
After being arrested, Todd admitted to having sex with the girl multiple times after he picked her up the day before when she had asked him for a ride to her grandparents’ house in Walterboro.
