The third 28 Years Later movie is officially moving forward. This comes after the positive reactions to 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple , the second installment in the franchise's current trilogy that will debut in theaters on January 16.

Deadline now reports that in the aftermath of The Bone Temple 's positive reactions, Sony is taking the next steps with the third 28 Years Later film, which includes 28 Days Later star Cillian Murphy being in talks to return as Jim. Alex Garland is writing the script for the sequel, which does not have an official title yet.
