President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Manipur on Thursday for a two-day visit, during which she will attend the 86th Nupi Lal Day observance and inaugurate several development projects, officials said.

Hectic preparations are underway in Imphal, with various departments working in coordination to welcome the President. Her visit will begin with a ceremonial guard of honour on her arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport.

Following this, President Murmu will visit the historic Imphal Polo Ground (Mapal Kangjeibung) to witness a polo exhibition match. The ground recently hosted the seven-day 15th Manipur International Polo Tournament and is regarded as one of the world’s oldest polo grounds.
