CLEVELAND, Ohio — Nearly half of U.S. adults (47%) are worried they won’t be able to afford necessary healthcare in 2026, according to a new national poll by West Health and Gallup. That’s the highest level of concern recorded since the organizations began tracking the data in 2021.

One in five Americans — also a record high — report that they or someone in their household couldn’t pay for prescription medications in the past three months, the poll found.
