Kozhikode: The second phase of Kerala’s crucial local body elections is currently underway across seven districts — Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kannur, Wayanad, and Kasaragod. Voting will continue until 6 pm.
More than 1.53 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots today to elect representatives to 12,931 wards spread across 604 local bodies, including grama panchayats, block and district panchayats, municipalities, and corporations.
A massive field of 38,994 candidates is contesting in this phase.
