GRAND FORKS — Former University of North Dakota tight end Jim Kleinsasser officially entered the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame late Tuesday night during a ceremony in Las Vegas.
Kleinsasser, the second UND football player to ever be inducted to the college football hall of fame (Jim LeClair), was among 18 inductees — a list that includes Michael Vick, Michael Strahan, Urban Meyer and Nick Saban.
"The people I encountered at UND ... the role models I had and the men I had to shape and guide me ... I had a lot of people pushing my sled at North Dakota," Kleinsasser said during a press conference Tuesday. "I can't thank everyone enough for the track they set me on."
Kleinsasser, a Carrington, N.D., native who played at UND from 1995-98, was voted a First Team
