Social media has been ablaze after former Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore was reportedly fired for an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member, and LSU has been caught up in some of the buzz.

After news of Moore’s firing broke, Barstool Sports founder and avid Wolverines fan Dave Portnoy took to social media to say he thinks Lane Kiffin should be the team’s next head coach.

It didn’t take long for Kiffin to chime in and dash his hopes.

Kiffin, known for being active on social media, replied to Portnoy saying he should instead consider switching allegiances to LSU.

“Together we can’t be beat,” Kiffin’s post read.

That wasn’t the only rumor of the day to come from Moore’s firing.
