ROCHESTER, Minn. — Deputy Olmsted County Administrator Pete Giesen received the Outstanding Service Award from the Association of Minnesota Counties on Tuesday. This award honors those who exhibit exceptional leadership and innovation in county government. Giesen, set to retire at the end of December, has dedicated 42 years to public service in Olmsted County. He began his career in 1983 and later led the Public Health department, achieving national accreditation and securing investments in health initiatives.
