ROME, Ga. — A man and woman who are facing charges after a woman's body was found on Tuesday appeared in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday morning.
The Rome Police Department said officers were called to John Graham Homes, where a body was found outside, covered with blankets, on Tuesday afternoon. This is near Hull Avenue and Cedar Avenue.
During the bond hearing, the judge said Taylor stabbed a woman in the neck, chest and face with a knife and hit her in the head with a baseball bat, causing her death. His bond was denied. Edwards was granted a $5,000 bond.
Police later identified the woman as 20-year-old Kaylee Shackelford of Powell, Tennessee.
Taylor and Shackelford were in a relationship, police said, adding that Taylor had also started an online relationship with Edwards.
