It’s not often that Baldwinsville gets to relish in a victory over West Genesee — a perennial power in New York State boys ice hockey.
One of those rare moments came on Wednesday evening, when the Bees won 2-1 over the Wildcats at Shove Park Ice Rink in Camillus.

The victory snapped Baldwinsville’s four-game skid against West Genesee. The last time the Bees beat the Wildcats was on Jan. 31, 2023 .
“It was just a really good high school hockey game tonight,” Baldwinsville coach Mark Lloyd said. “It happened to go our way this time. We’re thrilled with the effort from the kids.”
Parker Berg gave the Wildcats an early 1-0 lead in the opening period, with Nick Meluni providing the assist.
