COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - From the gridiron to giving back, a former University of Georgia and NFL player is now making a difference off the field for military vets in his hometown Chattahoochee Valley. We sat down with Jordan Jenkins to discuss how and why he’s helping former soldiers get off the streets.

The former UGA defender helped cut the ribbon over the weekend for one of the two houses he bought and gave to the Plummer Home nonprofit in Columbus, to be used as transitional housing for veterans who’ve faced life-altering challenges like homelessness or prison.
