Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh recorded a sharp dip in night temperatures on Thursday, with several places in the region settling below the freezing point, according to data. In the Kashmir Valley, Srinagar registered a minimum temperature of minus 2.9 degrees Celsius, while Qazigund recorded minus 3.2 degrees. Pahalgam and Kupwara saw temperatures drop to minus 4.6 degrees and minus 4.2 degrees, respectively. Pulwama and Shopian were the coldest in the valley at minus 5.2 degrees, followed by Zethan Rafiabad at minus 5.5 degrees. Gulmarg, the popular ski resort, recorded zero degree, and Kokernag settled at minus 1.2 degrees.
