DETROIT — Two weeks ago I heard from a faithful reader and former student, a successful professional now past middle age.
She wanted to share her suspicions that last year’s presidential election was stolen. “It’s looking more and more like someone — probably Muskrat — tinkered with the voting machines,” she told me.
By “Muskrat,” she meant, of course, Tesla czar Elon Musk, who was then a close associate of Donald Trump. “It’s just my intuition, but it’s pretty strong,” she said.
That wasn’t the first time someone told me they thought the 2024 presidential election had been stolen. I’ve seen more and more posts on social media arguing that. Elections and the mechanics of elections are, however, something I do know a bit about.
