Bhubaneswar : The winter intensity continued to deepen in the state capital, with the temperature plummeting to 13°C at 5:30 am today, marking a significant drop of 9.6°C over the past ten days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department.

The temperature has been on a downward trend since December 1, with the mercury falling from 22.6°C to 13°C, bringing chilly conditions to the city. The trend is expected to continue, with the IMD forecasting further drops in temperature in the coming days.

The first day of December started with a temperature of 22.6°C, which gradually decreased to 21°C on the next day. By December 3, the temperature had dropped to 17.2°C, followed by 17°C on December 4. The temperature continued its downward trend, touching 15°C on December 5, 14.4°C on Decembe
