THRISSUR: The second phase of polling to the local body elections in Kerala started at 7 am Thursday morning. The voters from Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod will poll on Thursday. Voting will end by 6 pm. In the first phase, the seven districts of southern Kerala have been polled. With this, the local body election in all 14 districts will be completed. The re-polling at Mannanchery Government High School Booth, where the voting machine malfunctioned in the first phase, is being held today. The votes will be counted on Saturday.

The election today is for 182 divisions in seven district panchayats, 1177 divisions in the 77 block panchayats, 9015 wards in 470 village panchayats, 1829 wards in 47 municipalities and 188 wards under three corporations.
