Meghan Markle has been slammed for suggesting that a reporter friend of her father's "breached clear ethical boundaries" while supporting him in hospital. The Duchess of Sussex accused Daily Mail journalist Caroline Graham of "broadcasting each interaction" with Thomas, 81, and making it "exceedingly difficult" for her to contact him after he underwent major leg amputation surgery .
But a spokesperson for the Mail's parent company said: "When Thomas Markle was taken ill in the Philippines, he contacted Caroline Graham and asked her to travel from LA to be with him.
