Ahmedabad police seizes banned Chinese kite string worth ₹8.4 lakh December 10, 2025

Ahmedabad: In view of the upcoming Uttarayan-2026 festival, the Ahmedabad district administration and city police have launched an intensive campaign to curb the sale and use of banned Chinese kite string, seizing a significant quantity in the process. According to a statement issued by the Additional Commissioner of Police, Special Branch Office, Chinese kite string worth a total of Rs 8,46,650 has been seized in Ahmedabad.

The seized items include 2,145 Chinese string trailers and 40 firkis. Ramol police station recorded the highest seizure, confiscating 2,040 trailers worth Rs 8,16,000. Sarkhej police seized 40 firkis valued at Rs 8,000, while Amraiwadi police recovered 90 trailers worth Rs 18,900. Sh
