Harry Rouhliadeff produced 16 points and five other Hawaii basketball players scored in double figures in a 98-46 rout of Hawaii Hilo tonight in Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
A crowd of 1,432 saw the Rainbow Warriors improve to 9-2. The winless Vulcans lost their seventh in a row, although the outcome does not count toward their Division II record.
The ’Bows dominated from near (40 paint points, including 14-for-18 on layups) and far (season-high 13 made 3s). Rouhliadeff grabbed nine rebounds and, on high-low action, added five assists. The ’Bows assisted on 25 of their 35 baskets. The ’Bows committed only six turnovers. The Vulcans had the lowest output for a UH opponent this season.
Once again, the ’Bows relied on reserve power to forge a 48-24 lead at the intermission.
