New Delhi: Microsoft has moved to strengthen its position in India’s enterprise AI market, announcing large scale partnerships with four of the country’s biggest IT services firms. Satya Nadella revealed that Cognizant, Infosys, TCS and Wipro will each deploy more than fifty thousand Microsoft Copilot licenses, crossing a combined total of two lakh deployments. The announcement follows Microsoft’s plan to invest 17.5 billion US dollars, which is about 1.57 lakh crore rupees, in cloud and AI infrastructure and skilling over the next four years.
The commitment from these firms marks one of the largest enterprise AI rollouts in the country. For many in the industry, the scale signals that India’s technology backbone is shifting quickly toward agentic AI systems that support decision making,
