JAMMU, Dec 11: The Chief Education Office (CEO) Ramban has suspended a government school teacher under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956. According to an official order issued on Wednesday, Balwant Singh, Teacher Grade-II posted at Government Primary School Killaseri in Batote zone of Ramban district, has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.

The order states that during the suspension period, the teacher will remain attached to the office of the Chief Education Officer, Ramban. Official sources said the action was taken after the teacher allegedly posted objectionable and insensitive content on social media, reportedly targeting a particular community.
