Another week in December means another lineup of winter holiday season events in the Sarasota area, including two of our biggest annual boat parades that provide a fittingly Floridian twist on the traditional holiday parade.

The Holiday Boat Parade of Lights on Sarasota Bay will return Saturday evening, as will Manatee River Holiday Boat Parade. Earlier on Saturday will be the Anna Maria Island Privateers Christmas Parade, which takes place on land, though you might see a pirate ship among the parade's participants.
