Just two days after asserting that his father, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, would complete the full five-year term in office, Yathindra has repeated his stance, once again pushing the leadership debate to the forefront.
Speaking in Belagavi on Thursday, the chief minister’s son and MLC reiterated: “There is no tussle for the chief minister’s post, I’ve already told you. Now, everything is clear. The high command has clearly said that as of now, there will be no change in leadership. No confusion, no change as of now."
The renewed remarks come despite the Congress high command’s clear direction to state leaders not to comment publicly on the issue of leadership.
