SOUTH KINGSTOWN — The bus waited on the tarmac at Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport, its destination anything but final.

Sunday evening saw the University of Rhode Island football program land back home after a cross-country flight from California. The Rams ended their 2025 season the previous night in a Football Championship Subdivision playoff loss to the University of California-Davis , a trip that closed this latest golden chapter in the program record books.
