HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - On December 11, 1983, we heard the first episode of Mountain Stage.

Each week it is home to live music on public radio.

It has drawn some of the biggest names in music to local stages, many of those shows at the Culture Center in Charleston.

Grammy award winning singer and West Virginia native Kathy Mattea is the current host after taking over from Larry Groce.
