Hundreds of fake viral Labubu dolls have been seized from shops across the Highlands in the run-up to Christmas. ‌

The toys are copies of the viral dolls, originally made by Pop Mart, which have gained cult status thanks to TikTok trends and celebrities wearing and posing with the toys. ‌

Fakes have become increasingly popular due to the high demand and scarcity of the originals - however police warn that replicas may pose serious safety risks for children. ‌

Among the hundreds of fake Labubus seized from shops across Moray, many had small detachable parts that could cause choking. Others had poor stitching, exposed stuffing, or sharp internal components, creating a risk of suffocation or injury.
