President Donald Trump and his administration unveiled the immigration "gold card," which offers foreigners the chance to purchase U.S. visas for an expensive price at the White House on Wednesday (December 10).
Trump said the new gold card would function "somewhat like a green card" by allowing foreigners to become instantly eligible for permanent residency status to work in the U.S.
"Foreign nationals can sign up now and secure their places on the waiting list for the Trump Platinum Card. When launched, and upon receipt of a $15,000 DHS processing fee and $5 million contribution, they will have the ability to spend up to 270 days in the United States without being subject to U.S. taxes on non-U.S. income," the Trump Gold Card website states.
