‘A great opportunity to be a positive role model’: Police Activities League of Southwest Washington builds ties between law enforcement, youth Subscriber Exclusive

The adults waiting for students to fill the library at Cascade Middle School on a recent morning weren’t teachers, librarians or school staff of any sort.

They were Washington State Patrol troopers participating in the Police Activities League of Southwest Washington.

“Our vision is that all youth in Clark County should have the opportunity to have a positive engagement with law enforcement,” said Jesse Jimenez, the league’s executive director.
