I love Graham Linehan ’s Father Ted and The IT Crowd , but some females were cool to them—as they had been back in the day with the Three Stooges . So at one point the TV writer teamed up with three ladies (one his wife) to create Motherland , a brilliant sitcom set in West London that explores the challenges of middle-class motherhood through an ironic lens.
