Switching bank accounts for some extra cash can be a handy move at any time, but with the festive season upon us, every little helps towards those Christmas plans. Those hoping to secure a seasonal financial boost, though, will need to act swiftly if they want their payout before December 25.

Switchers who move to an eligible Lloyds account may get their cash before Christmas Day. Elsewhere, Nationwide switchers may receive a bonus before Santa comes too.
