Taylor Swift may not be out of her "Red" era just yet.

The pop star, 35, stopped by "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" Wednesday night, spilling on her new documentary (and fiancée) to the CBS comedian and dazzling the audience with a cabernet-colored mini dress.

Swift sported a structured, off-the-shoulder David Koma number for the Dec. 10 occasion, pairing the dress with classic black tights and pumps to match. Fit for the holiday season, the velvet, burgundy dress featured pointy sleeves and a tailored waistline.

Her makeup look? A classic red lip and winged eye, of course. For Easter egg-hungry fans, the dress may have read like a nod to her songs "Maroon" or "Red," while to laypeople it looked like, well, a nice outfit.

Swift's Colbert visit marks the third in a string of rare late-night appearances for the star.

Recapping her worldwide, record-breaking Eras tour, Swift told Colbert that she's still in disbelief about fans' passion for the music.

"It's insane," she said. "The entire tour, there were these just sort of out of control, out-of-body experiences we would have on stage. And I've had the same band, most of my band has been with me since I was 16 years old. And we just kind of look at each other and be like, 'This isn't normal.'"

That energy, she said, is exactly why she's excited for Friday, Dec. 12, when fans will see "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show" and her six-part docuseries.

"I'm really glad we get to relive it," she said, noting the project provides an intimate look at the tour's emotional architecture.
