On Wednesday, Maye didn’t shy away from the reality of his team’s position heading into their crucial divisional showdown with Buffalo. Instead, he embraced it with the hunger of someone ready to upset the established order.

“I think it’s anytime you’re at home and you’re (the) underdog, it gives you something to play for a little bit,” Maye admitted, articulating the psychological edge that comes with being counted out.
