Manchester United return to Premier League action on Monday against Bournemouth with Matthijs de Ligt still missing from training.
The Netherlands international has arguably been United’s best player this season but has now missed the last two games. His club have not disclosed the nature of the injury with Ruben Amorim offering no indication when he will be available again.
De Ligt was not seen in training on Thursday with Harry Maguire also still missing from the group. The former captain has not played since the 2-2 draw with Tottenham in early November due to a hamstring issue.
Amorim will provide an update on his two defenders when he speaks to the media on Friday but both will be considered doubts ahead of the visit of the Cherries.
Benjamin Sesko has also not featured since limp
