Drake Maye’s jump from Year 1 to Year 2 has not only put him in the MVP conversation, it’s earned the Patriots quarterback praise from the national media.
During an appearance on NFL Network , 2016 MVP and CBS Sports analyst Matt Ryan was asked who is playing football at the highest level. The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback highlighted Matthew Stafford before he turned his attention to Maye.
“Drake Maye’s playing really good football, too,” Ryan said . “Drake is playing outstanding. This has been the story of the season — pushing the ball down the field. His accuracy throwing the football down the field, his grit, his toughness. It’s been fun to watch.”
Maye joined Hall of Famer Dan Marino as the only other quarterback since 1950 to win 10 straight games with a passer rating
