Amanda Owen, star of Our Yorkshire Farm, has shared the terrifying experience of her first childbirth, confessing "it all went wrong" when she was hurriedly taken to hospital during what was supposed to be a planned home birth.

Known widely as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda has spoken candidly about the difficulties she encountered while giving birth to her eldest daughter, Raven, during the UK's foot-and-mouth crisis, which greatly limited movement in rural areas. For Amanda, a first-time mother residing on an isolated family farm, this situation significantly influenced her birthing plan.
