A woman who scooped an extraordinary £525k on a scratch card has astonished people with her plans for the winnings. The woman, hailing from the commune of Lanmeur in Brittany's Finistère department in France , chose to remain anonymous after landing her remarkable €600,000 (£525k) prize.

Her luck began when she purchased a scratch card for the Française des Jeux (FDJ) Mega Crosswords from a local "bar-tobacconist's" establishment in Lanmeur called Bar des Sports. In its description of the game, French newspaper Ouest-France, noting that the win was unveiled via a press release on December 4, said players scratch off letters and try to find words on a grid.
