OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha police identified the 55-year-old who was killed in a crash on Tuesday.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of 59th Street and Ames Avenue.

Police said Pamela Lawson was operating a motorized wheelchair when she was hit by a 2012 Chevy Silverado.

Lawson was thrown from the wheelchair during the crash.

She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Advocates are now calling for solutions after Lawson and a bicyclist were killed and another pedestrian was injured in three separate crashes on Tuesday.
