A banking executive who consulted with Flatirons Bank for several months has landed an executive role with the Boulder-based organization.
Joel Coursey, who has more than 25 years of banking leadership and operational experience, was named executive vice president and chief operating officer at Flatirons Bank.
He most recently served as COO at Fortis Bank in Denver, helping spur the bank’s growth from $300 million to $1.3 billion in assets.
At Flatirons Bank, Coursey will oversee all areas of operations and work closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive efficiency and support the bank’s strategic vision, according to a press release. His first major initiative was to lead the bank’s online and mobile banking conversion, which launched Monday.
