A new poll shows support for Democratic candidates in key 2026 races has picked up, while approval for Donald Trump has gone underwater.

Released Thursday, Emerson College announced new polling data for the Ohio gubernatorial race and the U.S. Senate race for Ohio's seat, both of which show support growing for the Democratic candidates. Advertisement

Emerson College's poll says 850 active registered voters in Ohio were surveyed, with a margin of error of +/- 3.3 points.

In Ohio's gubernatorial race, Amy Acton, the former director of the Ohio Department of Health, has taken the polling lead over Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, 46% to 45%.

Nine percent of voters remain undecided.
