DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - The Douglas County Board of Commissioners have voted unanimously to adopt new revisions to their Tahoe Vacation Home Rental Ordinance.

The updates include stronger enforcement and fines, including $20,000 penalties for renting after rental permit revocation and minimum requirements for permit renewal.

Commissioners say the ordinance reflects recommendations from the VHR Advisory Board Planning Commission and public input.
