An Astoria man was convicted last Friday of attempted murder, assault and other crimes for shoving his mother out of a third-floor window last year, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced.

The woman, Paraskevi Tsintzelis, 64, survived. Her son, George Tsintzelis, 37, faces up to 25 years in prison.

He was convicted by a jury, which deliberated for nine hours, of second-degree attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, aggravated criminal contempt, four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of first-degree criminal contempt, the DA’s Office said.
