Time is running out to help the Salvation Army provide gifts and food for families this Christmas.
Each year, the organization distributes gifts, toys and food to pre-registered families in St. Clair County. This year, 750 families with more than 1,200 children are relying on donations, according to a community announcement.
Angel trees have been set up at Birchwood Mall and the Fort Gratiot Walmart to collect gifts. Tags are available at these locations, representing each child signed up for the program. Donors can also visit The Salvation Army's main office at 2000 Court St. in Port Huron and choose to adopt entire families.
Online registries for needed items can be found at Walmart's Spark Good website and on Amazon under "The Salvation Army Port Huron Christ
