A full day has passed since the Luthra brothers were detained by Thai immigration authorities, yet there is no sign of their deportation. The reason for the delay, according to top Indian government sources, is the legal process required under Thai laws. Gaurav, 44, and Saurabh, 40, left the country at 1.17 am on December 7, barely an hour after learning about the fire at their club.

Officials familiar with the matter indicate it could take a minimum of two more days before the Luthras reach India.
