COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Emergency Management is repurposing several locations as Bartholomew Warming Centers to combat the winter weather this weekend.

In addition to the Winter Weather Advisory, an Arctic outbreak is expected this weekend with low temperatures in the single digits and likely dangerous sub-zero wind chills that can pose a serious threat to health and safety. The Bartholomew County Emergency Management is asking that you respect the rules of the different Warming Center facilities and they will monitor the weather to determine if dates need to be extended. Food, showers, and sleeping areas will not be available.
