SAGINAW TWP, MI — An errant pig has landed at Saginaw County Animal Care & Control, after spending a day being pampered by staff at a local police department.
Saginaw Township police brought the ginger female piglet to their headquarters after a resident of Lawndale Estates mobile home park spotted the porcine form hoofing it through heavy snow the early morning of Wednesday, Dec. 10. The resident was shoveling snow when the hog approached her, and she proceeded to gather the piggy in a box until officers arrived.
Due to the heavy snowfall, officers were unable to backtrack the pig’s hoofprints.
For the rest of the day shift, the piglet hung out at the station, being doted on by staff and curious visitors.
“I think our whole township government staff and news agencies were here,” said
