FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is expected to hire TJ Rushing to be its cornerbacks coach, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg citing sources Thursday.
Rushing was most recently the safeties coach at Auburn this year, which followed a one-year stint as special assistant to the head coach under former Tigers coach Hugh Freeze. Prior to that, Rushing coached defensive backs at Texas A&M (2020-23), Memphis (2018-19), Arizona State (2016-17) and Northern Arizona (2015).
His two years at Memphis overlapped with Arkansas coach Ryan Silverfield, who was an assistant for the Tigers from 2016-19 prior to being head coach from 2020-25.
